Timber Qualities: This wood is the woodbenders friend. It has good strength and elasticity. It is also hard in relation to it's relatively light weight. The timber is generally straight grained.

Uses: American Ash is the famous sports ash, used for all types of sports equipment, bats, cues, oars, handles for striking tools, spades, forks etc. It is widely used for furniture and cabinetry and interior joinery. Makes a beautiful floor.
